Backups that really work when it counts

Automated backups, versioned multiple times and regularly tested for recoverability. Based in Frankfurt, serving all of Germany.

Why data backup isn't a side issue

A hardware failure, a ransomware attack or an accidental deletion is all it takes to lose years of company data. Without a tested backup, the damage is permanent.

We back up your data automatically and in Germany, with copies that demonstrably work in an emergency instead of just existing in theory.

Everything we can back up

All of Microsoft 365: mailboxes with email, calendars and contacts, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Teams with channels and chats, and Microsoft Entra ID with user accounts and permissions.

Virtual servers: complete virtual machines including the operating system, configuration and data, so that a server can be restored in one piece in an emergency.

Physical servers and devices: Windows and Linux servers as bare-metal images including file shares, plus your employees' laptops and desktops, in the office and at home.

Databases and applications: live databases and the data in your business applications, backed up consistently rather than in the middle of a write.

Other cloud services: data from additional cloud applications, so that the provider alone doesn't decide whether you can recover it.

Overview of the systems we back up

Reactive or proactive

Untested means unprotected.
We check that it really works.

Most backups are set up once and then left to run. Whether they actually work only becomes clear in an emergency. Proactive data backup turns this around: backups, recoverability and ransomware protection are checked continuously instead of being put to the test for the first time when disaster strikes.

Backup monitoring

Reactive IT support

The backup runs "somehow" in the background. Nobody checks whether the last one actually succeeded.

With

Every backup is checked. Failed or missed backups alert us, not only when you need them.

Recoverability

Reactive IT support

A backup exists, but it has never been restored. Nobody knows whether it would work in an emergency.

With

Regularly tested restores. We run test restores from your backups, because a backup that fails the test isn't a backup.

Ransomware protection

Reactive IT support

The backup sits on the same network as the original data, so ransomware hits both at the same time.

With

Copies following the 3-2-1 rule. At least one immutable or separate copy that an attack on your network can't reach.

Retention periods & compliance

Reactive IT support

How long which data has to be kept is unclear, until an audit or a deletion request asks about it.

With

Retention based on clear periods. Backup periods are matched to your needs and applicable regulations, documented rather than left to chance.

The best day with our data backup is the one when you never need it, yet know it would have worked. No empty backup, no unnoticed failure, no data loss.

How we back up

A cycle that never stops

Data backup isn't a one-off step but a cycle of four phases that repeats continuously.

  1. Phase 01: Back up (Daily)

Automated, encrypted, in a separate environment.

  2. Phase 02: Retain (Ongoing)

Several versions available side by side.

  3. Phase 03: Test (Quarterly)

We restore data from the backup as a test and record whether everything arrives complete and readable.

  4. Phase 04: Report (Per test)

Written proof for you and, if needed, your insurer.

Data backup for every industry

Customer data, plans, invoices: every industry has data that must be available in an emergency.

  • Trades & construction
  • Law firms & consultancies
  • Car dealerships & workshops
  • Medical practices & healthcare
  • Real estate & property management
  • Gyms & sports studios
  • Insurance & finance
  • Restaurants & cafés
  • Hotels & guesthouses
  • Retail & wholesale
  • Logistics & transport
  • Schools & training providers
  • Tourism & travel
  • IT & technology
  • Customer service & call centers

How we set up your data backup

Before the cycle starts, we clarify what needs to be backed up. After that, everything runs automatically and is regularly verified.

Assessment

We record everything that needs backing up: Microsoft 365, servers, workstations and business applications. We also clarify how long data has to be kept and how quickly it needs to be available again in an emergency.

  1. Assessment: We record everything that needs backing up: Microsoft 365, servers, workstations and business applications. We also clarify how long data has to be kept and how quickly it needs to be available again in an emergency.
  2. Setup: We set up automated, encrypted backups following the 3-2-1 rule: three copies, two storage locations, one of them off-site in a German data center and separate from your live environment.
  3. First restore test: Before we complete the setup, we restore data as a test: individual files, a mailbox and, if needed, an entire server. We document the result in writing so you know the backup will hold up when it counts.
  4. Ongoing cycle: From then on, the cycle runs continuously: back up, retain, test regularly and document. If a backup fails, we notice first and take care of it before any data goes missing.

Frequently asked questions about data backup

What you should know before working with us.

The price depends on the amount of data, the number of systems and the retention period you need. After a quick look at your environment, we'll give you a concrete quote.

The 3-2-1 rule: at least three copies of your data, on two different types of media, one of them stored in a separate location. That way your backup survives even an incident that affects more than just the original data.

Daily by default. We schedule the backup to suit you, usually at night outside your working hours. For particularly critical data, several runs per day, up to hourly backups, are also possible. We decide together what makes sense for which data.

We decide that together based on your needs and applicable regulations. Typically, short-term backups are kept for several weeks and selected data is retained long term for several months to years.

Yes. At least one copy is immutable or physically separated from the production network, so ransomware that hits your original data can't destroy the backup at the same time.

That depends on the amount of data and the system affected: individual files are usually restored quickly, while a complete server restore takes longer. We discuss realistic timeframes in advance so you know what to expect in an emergency.
